We're going all-in on Shop Direct: Better prices, flexible delivery, local stores

We wanted to update you on some exciting news here at our company—our Shop Direct service has been a hit! We're thrilled to see so many of you enjoying cheaper material prices and flexible delivery options while supporting local stores.

Our commitment to Shop Direct

As a result of your positive feedback, we've decided to discontinue our Shop Express and Delivery Only services as of February 17th, 2023. This will allow us to double down on our commitment to our Shop Direct service.

Furthermore, certain big box retailers have applied unsustainable partner pricing schemes. As such we believe that it's more important than ever to continue working with local suppliers, which is why we're so passionate about Shop Direct. By ordering directly from the supplier, you'll have access to the best pricing and a wider range of choice. It's the perfect solution for contractors who want to save money and time.

We understand that time is of the essence for our customers, and while we won't be offering 3-hour express delivery after February 17th, we're thrilled to announce 4-hour delivery from select suppliers so you can still get the materials you need quickly and easily. Plus, we'll be launching in-store pickup across all stores in the coming weeks; for those times when you just can't wait.

Sunsetting our Pro and Rewards programs

With our focus shifting to connecting local suppliers with their customers, we will no longer be able to offer discounts on delivery fees or rewards for points earned on orders. As a result, we are sunsetting our Pro and Rewards programs on February 17th, 2023. While this may be disappointing for some, we believe that the new options available to you, such as cheaper material prices and flexible delivery, will more than make up for the loss of these programs.

For our Pro customers, your subscription will be cancelled and we will be refunding the remaining balance of your monthly subscription to your credit card automatically on February 17th, 2023.

For customers who have accumulated Rewards points, you will have until May 15th, 2023 to use the points you have earned. After this date, any remaining points will be forfeited. To check your points balance and/or redeem a reward:

  1. Open the TOOLBX app
  2. Select the account menu in the top-left of the home screen (three horizontal lines)
  3. Select 'Rewards'
  4. Your points balance will be shown on the screen
  5. To redeem, select a reward and tap 'Redeem reward'
